    Ok, how do you become ATLS certified? I want to do it but the website makes it seem like it's only for doctors.

    @marcus Check this link: http://web2.facs.org/atls/ATLSSearch.cfm?Search... . That's a list of all the ATLS courses offeredvia search. I'd contact the American College of Surgeons on the same site or contact the facility you'd like to take the course at regarding who is eligible for the course/exam, etc. As far as I know (and someone please correct me on this if I'm wrong), ATLS is offered for doctors, advanced care providers (NPs, PAs), and critical care paramedics. You may be able to take it without being EMT-P, but I imagine it would be much more difficult that way.
